40. Hai Bani Israil [41], ingatlah akan ni'mat-Ku yang telah Aku anugerahkan kepadamu, dan penuhilah janjimu kepada-Ku [42], niscaya Aku penuhi janji-Ku kepadamu; dan hanya kepada-Ku-lah kamu harus takut (tunduk). [41] Israil adalah sebutan bagi Nabi Ya'qub. Bani Israil adalah turunan Nabi Ya'qub; sekarang terkenal dengan bangsa Yahudi. [42] Janji Bani Israil kepada Tuhan ialah: bahwa mereka akan menyembah Allah dan tidak mempersekutukan-Nya dengan sesuatu apapun, serta beriman kepada Rasul-Rasul-nya di antaranya Nabi Muhammad s. a. w. sebagaimana yang tersebut di dalam Taurat.
